The Account Manager will manage an assigned portfolio of customers, drive P&L through maintaining strong customer relationship, effective order execution and pursuing revenue growth opportunities.
Job Description
- Lead and supervise a team of merchandisers in day-to-day operations including order confirmation, product development, order execution, coordination with suppliers and factories to ensure order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationship, work closely with customers to identify revenue growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and factories, and ensure they are aligned with company product and business strategies in terms of capability, cost, quality, and overall performance.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve any issues that may arise including regular video calls for ongoing discussions.
- Drive P&L of the managed portfolio, perform analysis and formulate plan and strategies to improve the sales and margin.
- Provide leadership and coaching to the team to drive teamwork and organizational success.
Requirements
- Degree in any discipline, academic background in textile/apparel is preferred.
- 8 years and above work experience in sales and merchandising roles with sourcing office, buying agents, or apparel manufacturers, minimum 3 years in a supervisory position leading a team.
- Highly organized, driven, and strong sense of responsibility.
- Good understanding of industry and apparel market in the US/Europe, customer centric and ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills with good command of English both speaking and writing.
- Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, word, PPT etc.).
- Prior experience in Greater China region is a must.
