The production director will focus on apparel production to drive manufacturing excellence, productivity, and quality improvement. Employer is a leading apparel manufacturer working with some of world’s most recognizable fashion and athletic brands.
Job Description
- Manage factory production, develop manufacturing strategies to meet customer requirements and delivery schedule.
- Drive production efficiency, implement best manufacturing practice and streamline process to achieve an efficient production system.
- Monitor and drive continuous improvements in production planning, productivity, quality system, and on-time delivery.
- Drive manufacturing efficiency and optimize factory resources in manpower planning, materials, and machine utilization.
- Monitor quality performance and deliver quality products while minimizing waste.
- Lead project implementation by working across departments, drive key projects in manufacturing excellence, automation, and compliance.
- Review and drive the performance of various departments and functions to achieve factory KPIs and goals.
- Provide organizational leadership, coach next generation of leaders and develop a competent workforce.
Requirements
- Vocational training, diploma and above qualification in textile or apparel related discipline.
- 8 years and above work experience in apparel manufacturing industry and minimum 3 years in leadership positions, experience in sportswear, athleisure wear manufacturing is advantageous.
- Proven experience in driving factory manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement projects.
- Solid technical knowledge in garment manufacturing process, materials, construction, and quality management.
- Excellent commutation skills, good command of English(must) and Chinese (not must by distinctively advantageous).
- Computer literacy (MS office suite, Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
