We are looking for a cost accounting executive to join us and support our accounting operation.
Job Description
- Maintain accurate cost records for all manufacturing departments, including production, labour, overhead, and materials.
- Perform departmental cost analysis and ensure consistent, policy-compliant cost allocations.
- Calculate and regularly update standard costs for materials, labour, and overhead.
- Develop and refine cost accounting methods to ensure accurate data collection from production activities, machine usage, and labour hours.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports, analysing variances and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with operations and department heads to address issues impacting costs and support budget preparation and monitoring.
- Review and recommend improvements to costing processes and systems for enhanced accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of cost accounting experience within the textile manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience developing cost systems and handling departmental accounting for large-scale manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing cost structures.
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
