Employer is a footwear manufacturer specializing in dress shoes development and production supported by their own factories in Cambodia and R&D center in China. The PD Manager will oversee the development center operations to enhance the technical competitiveness and achieve customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Lead the development center operation, direct the team to achieve the development goals according to company and customer strategy.
- Continuously drive working process improvement and efficiency.
- Be responsible for sample delivery based on business calendar and ensure a smooth technical transfer to production.
- Manage raw materials test and finished shoe test to ensure they are completed before production.
- Improve on sample rejection rate to reduce development cost and effectiveness.
- Follow up on bulk production and resolve problems that arise.
- Mentor and train up the team in terms of footwear development and technical skills.
- Manage the performance of the team with effective KPIs.
Requirements
- Diploma and above qualifications.
- 10 years and above footwear development experience with solid technical knowledge and experience, especially in dress shoes.
- Ability to resolve technical challenges and difficulties in both development and bulk production stage and develop shoes with bulk production in mind.
- Experienced in leading a team, organized with good time management skills.
- Communication skills with good command of Chinese and English(reading&writing), ability to speak English is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel, PPT).
