Company and Objectives
The General Manager will be responsible for managing and guiding all aspects of a large-scale factory with approximately 2,000 employees. This includes oversight of production, quality assurance, technical functions, human resources, and finance. The role requires providing strong leadership to ensure targets are met in areas such as delivery, cost management, quality, efficiency, sustainability, and overall profitability.
Job Description
- Define the operational roadmap for the factory and its departments, and establish long-term plans to enhance productivity and financial performance.
- Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams covering production, quality, product development, technology, HR, and finance to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
- Drive initiatives that strengthen the factory’s competitiveness while supporting sustainability commitments.
- Conduct operational assessments, identify performance gaps, and implement improvement strategies.
- Monitor and control operating costs, ensuring strict adherence to budgets and financial discipline.
- Support leadership development by coaching managers and delivering training on industry best practices and effective management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline; a background in textiles or apparel is an advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in the textile and apparel industry with strong knowledge of production technologies and manufacturing processes, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Good command of both English and Mandarin, with strong communication abilities.
- Highly organized, accountable, and able to demonstrate leadership in managing large teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
