Employer is a leading apparel manufacturer working with some of world’s most recognizable fashion and athletic brands. The general manager will be overall in charge of the factory operations with a focus on production, IE, quality, and cost control to help the company drive manufacturing excellence and profitability.
Job Description
- Manage factory operations, develop manufacturing strategies to meet customer requirements and delivery schedule.
- Drive operational efficiency, streamline workflow, with a focus on developing and implementing efficient production system.
- Monitor and drive continuous improvements in production planning, productivity, quality system, and on-time delivery.
- Drive manufacturing efficiency and optimize factory resources in manpower planning, materials, and machine utilization.
- Monitor quality performance and deliver quality products while minimizing waste.
- Lead project implementation by working across departments, drive key projects in manufacturing excellence, automation, and compliance.
- Review and drive the performance of various departments and functions to achieve factory KPIs and goals.
- Provide organizational leadership, coach next generation of leaders and develop a competent workforce.
Requirements
- Diploma and above qualification in any discipline, background in textile/garment related discipline is advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in apparel manufacturing industry and minimum 3 years in leadership positions, experience in sportswear, athleisure wear manufacturing is advantageous.
- Proven experience in driving factory manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement projects.
- Good knowledge in garment manufacturing process, materials, construction, and quality management.
- Excellent commutation skills, good command of English(must) and Chinese (not must by distinctively advantageous).
- Computer literacy (MS office suite, Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
