Job Description
- Participate in setting annual R&D goals and directions for the knit fabric development department based on company strategy.
- Gather market information on fabric trends, stay updated on developments in European and American markets, and lead the team in creating competitive knit fabric products.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand new fabric development needs, and design fabric structures and styles based on sample or technical performance requirements.
- Lead the team in knit fabric upgrade and development projects to enhance the company’s R&D capabilities.
- Resolve technical and process-related issues in bulk production, including knitting, dyeing, and finishing.
- Identify and establish partnerships with high-quality suppliers that align with the company’s business scale and R&D capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Dyeing & Finishing or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading R&D projects.
- Strong fabric product development skills, including new product development, process improvement for existing products, and upgrades.
- Ability to establish process control standards for textile manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of market pricing for various fabrics and raw material trends, with a broad network of fabric suppliers.
- Familiarity with different fabric production processes, dyeing, finishing techniques, and the ability to anticipate potential quality risks.
- Expertise in textile materials, especially knit fabrics, with the ability to independently design fabric structures. Proficiency in relevant design software and quick adaptation to company product and process requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with good command of both English and Chinese.
