Employer is a knit fabric manufacturer that comprises knitting, dyeing, finishing, and printing process under one roof. The knitting technical manager will provide technical expertise to knitting production, oversee product development, and drive highest standards of quality and efficiency in knitting department.
Job Description
1. Research and development
- Oversee knit fabric development, from concept to commercialization.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends in knit textile industry.
- Implement best practice in product development process.
2. Provision of technical expertise
- Provide technical consultation to knitting department and address technical challenges.
- Develop technical standards and protocols to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise in knitting production.
3. Innovation and improvement
- Drive innovation in knit fabric products, leverage new materials and technologies.
- Identify opportunity to improve process and reduce cost, and incorporate sustainability into knitting production.
4. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training
- Develop and implement SOPs for both R&D and Knitting department
- Create training manuals to upskill team members and conduct training
5. Monitor the knitting production performance and achieve on-time delivery.
Requirements
1. Diploma and above qualifications in textile related discipline.
2. Minimum 10 years of work experience in circular knitting production environment, in-depth knowledge of circular knitting machine, knitted fabric and yarn.
3. Well-versed in circular knitting machine setup, calibration and troubleshooting.
4. Experienced in fabric analysis and new product development.
5. Experienced in leading a team with excellent communication skills.
6. Ability to adapt to new environment with a willing-to-learn attitude.
